The process starts with a vaginal ultrasound scan (this is not painful), most of the time you will have to take tablets for a few days and come in for scans to confirm that the medication is working.
Once the egg has grown to the correct size an injection is given to cause ovulation
After this, depending on the results of the sperm one would have intercourse or carry out intrauterine insemination (IUI).
